Hi. For those of you who did not know from my profile, my blog or wherever I informed you of the existence of this site, I am Garrett Cook. I’m an author of Bizarro and Horror fiction and I have a passion for both genres. Though there are plenty of horror ezines, there are not as many Bizarro-friendly markets among these and I want to remedy that. Also, I feel that there are not enough sites up for discourse on the two genres, reviews of horror and Bizarro books in the small press and in depth analysis of them. So, I’ve created Nuckelavee, an ezine where you can get all these things under one roof.

Send me short fiction, essays, book reviews, reviews of weird films, macabre poetry, virtually anything as long as it emphasizes the strange, the grotesque and the wrong. The Nuckelavee is an abomination against nature, a chaotic bonemunching rivercentaur with exposed organs. Think about this when you consider whether work will be right for me.  There is a 3,000 word limit and I expressly forbid tales of zombies and sexy vampires. When you submit Bizarro stories, I ask that along with your submission, bio, word count and whatnot, you list the last three Bizarro novels you’ve read. When you submit horror I ask that you list the last three small press horror novels you’ve read. There will be no payment beyond my approval and the knowledge that somebody will be reading your story.
